Publicasity bags Travis Perkins job

DIY supplier Travis Perkins has brought in an agency to consolidate its position in the trade market and take advĀ­antage of a pre-2012 Olympics building boom.

Publicasity bagged the B2B and consumer account, which PRWeek believes is  worth around £150,000 annually, after a pitch against three other agencies.

The agency reports to Travis Perkins trade marketing director Linda Doughty.

The company has fared well against a backdrop of declining DIY sales – in 2005 the firm bought 176 Wickes stores from rival Focus Do It All for £950m.
