Bobby Kennedy film to be promoted via Tiscali-created site

LONDON - Broadband provider Tiscali is to promote the UK release of 'Bobby', a film about the assassination of one-time US Presidential hopeful Robert F Kennedy, via a specially created website.

The movie, which was directed by former Brat Pack star Emilio Estevez, features an ensemble cast that includes Dave Fraunces as Robert F Kennedy, 'Boyz In The Hood''s Laurence Fishburne, 'Austin Powers'' Heather Graham and 'Hannibal' star Anthony Hopkins and will be promoted through a Tiscali-created microsite, featuring footage and soundtrack clips from the film.

The microsite for 'Bobby', which was released on January 26, also includes an educational resource for visitors about the Kennedy family dynasty, biographies of the film's other stars, which also include Demi Moore, Martin Sheen and Lindsay Lohan, and a competition to win a Canon Digital SLR Camera.

Scenes from 'Bobby' were filmed at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, the location where Democrat Senator Robert F Kennedy was shot dead by Sirhan Bishara Sirhan, in June 1968.

The deal between Momentum Pictures and Tiscali was brokered by digital marketing agency Grapevine.
