MySpace takes new bands on nationwide tour
LONDON - MySpace is to step from the web into live music promotion by running a tour showcasing new music in March, featuring hotly tipped acts Hadouken! and Pull Tiger Tail.
The MySpace Bleep Bleep Tour, which will take in 10 cities across the country, will feature co-headliners Pull Tiger Tail and Ali Love, as well as I Say Marvin and Hadouken! -- all acts which are credited with building their reputation and fan base by using MySpace.

Tickets for the tour, which went on sale February 9, will begin in Leeds on March 11, will also take in Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester and Cardiff, are available through the tour's MySpace page.
MySpace has been credited with helping to break many of the UK's leading bands and artists, including Sheffield's Arctic Monkeys, who are nominated for Best Album and Best Group at this year's Brit Awards this month.
East London's Hadouken! have already amassed 13,000 friends on their MySpace page, where their first single 'That Boy That Girl' was debuted.
Jamie Kantrowitz, senior vice president for marketing and content at MySpace, said MySpace had "revolutionised" the way fans discover new music worldwide.
She said: "That discovery goes hand in hand with the live experience -- and with this tour we hope to host some unforgettable gigs. We're covering every major base in the UK and aim to reach fans of our featured artists wherever they live."
Fans will be encouraged to post their images, videos and reviews of the gigs on MySpace as the tour progresses.
