BBC named strongest UK business brand
LONDON - Superbrands, the organisation that claims to be the global independent authority on branding, has named the BBC as the UK's strongest business brand, followed by software giant Microsoft and British Airways in third place.
The top 10 of Business Superbrands featured telecoms and media brands BT, Google, Vodafone and Apple in addition to BP, Rolls-Royce and Hertz.
Stephen Cheliotis, chairman of the Business Superbrands Council, said: "Owning a strong brand is key to having a successful business, although the need to develop and invest in a brand has only recently been considered a priority in most business-business markets, making these winners even more noteworthy."

Brands are assessed on three main criteria which include quality, reliability and distinction to come up with a list of UK's top 500 business brands.
In October, Superbrands announced it was setting up a separate entity, Superbrands UK, to focus solely on the UK brands market.
