DraftFCB wins retail brief for Starbucks
DraftFCB London is understood to have won a brief to promote Starbucks-branded coffee products, set to hit UK supermarket shelves this year.
The brief comes as Starbucks bolsters its 18-year relationship with
Kraft Foods in the US. This includes firming up a contract to distribute
its coffee products to retailers across the UK and Canada.

DraftFCB is believed to have won the brief through its place on the
Kraft Foods roster in the US, leapfrogging other UK roster agencies,
including JWT, to the brief.
Starbucks products are currently available in cafes across the UK, but
this deal will be the first time that they will be available in
supermarkets.
The Seattle-based Starbucks, whose annual turnover is $7.8
billion, was recently listed in tenth position in a Millward Brown UK
survey for brands that are perceived to be growing in popularity fastest
over 2006.
Starbucks and DraftFCB refused to comment on the win as Campaign went to
press.
