LONDON - The Audit Bureau of Circulations has responded to the rise of multiple platform media by launching a new report that shows the combined audience for a media outlet across print and digital forms.

Known as the group product report, it has already attracted the support of newspaper groups including Guardian Media Group, which owns The Guardian and its website Guardian Unlimited, and News International, which owns The Sun and Sun Online.

The GMG-owned Trader Media Group, the business behind Auto Trader and its website, will also produce a report.

Publishers and media owners can opt to produce a group product report alongside their usual ABC certificates. The report is updated every time new data becomes available to ensure it is always current.

The report includes historic data and charts, visual representations of the products and brands, and all the information included on the individual certificates.

Chris Boyd, chief executive of ABC, said: "A single resource for a media group to report all relevant figures will aid selling, and help media owners to prove their audiences across various platforms and channels."
