Royal Mail grows DM with home move service
Royal Mail is to increase opportunities for direct mail printers after choosing data management firm DQM Group to run its new Home Movers Mailing Service (HMMS).
The High Wycombe-based firm won the tender to provide data handling for the new service, which will create new work for the direct mail sector, against what it described as "some of the UK's leading data companies".

Royal Mail's HMMS allows marketers to contact consumers with direct mail campaigns as they are moving home. The theory is that those in the midst of a move will be more receptive to direct mail offers as they are likely to be changing suppliers for services such as utilities, and spending more than usual.
Helen Poole, senior product manager for HMMS, said: "DQM has proposed new solutions to broaden the appeal of the services to other customer sectors, which will further grow the use of direct mail.
"DQM Group already works with most leading owners and therefore will be well-placed to persuade suitable data owners to contribute their relevant data, to expand and enhance Royal Mail's growing range of mover services."
DQM Group managing director Adrian Gregory said: "We see enormous potential to continue the success of the HMMS."
News of the contract win comes as Royal Mail is considering tenders for a huge £400m print management deal that will cover its full range of print services.
