LONDON - Boxer has been appointed by healthcare giant Johnson & Johnson to join its global design agency roster.

The agency will work on J&J's packaging design, particularly in the area of new product development.

David Poole, Boxer's managing director, said: "We have long held the view that there is a real hunger for British design in the US. This appointment confirms our thinking and further consolidates our position within the global packaging discipline following our work with McDonald's and now with Johnson & Johnson.

"It's true to say that J&J are going through a really exciting phase, putting strategic design at the heart of their business, and it's great to be part of that."

Boxer is based in London and Birmingham. It specialises in brand creation, identity, retail and packaging design for clients including McDonald's, Interbrew and Marks & Spencer.
