Sony Europe appoints Dare

Dare has won a three-way pitch against glue London and poke for Sony Electronics’ pan-European web site and online communications.

Dare’s remit will be to provide strategic development for all Sony Europe’s digital activity,  online marketing and new web site activity for products across its portfolio.

 

The interactive agency’s first project for Sony will be the design and build of the new Bravia website. Dare will work alongside Fallon, Naked, Freud Communications and OMD on this integrated campaign.

 

Lee Wright, dare’s MD, said: “Sony has a great creative heritage, and we are looking forward to working with the team and the partner agencies. There is a huge opportunity for the brand within the digital arena and we can’t wait to get started.”  

 

Sony will continue to work with Tonic, its rostered digital agency for four years. Mark Porter, client relationship director, said: “Over the last few years Sony Europe’s online requirements have grown considerably, so they now need another agency. We anticipate that dare will compete with us on pitched work.”

Tonic will still work across other product groups, including Walkman, for which it recently created a new pan-European site, and Bravia.
