Experian builds South American presence with Brazil acquisition
LONDON - Experian has acquired Inform@rketing, a Brazilian data services agency, for an undisclosed sum.
Inform@rketing's clients primarily come from the financial sector. The company specialises in database management, mailing list cleansing and data enhancement, alongside managing marketing campaigns for its clients.

Experian is looking to enhance its presence in South America, and previously bought the client-oriented financial analysis business, Decision Analytics Group, based in Brazil.
Rick Gallagher, executive vice-president of Experian's Latin America group, said of Inform@rketing: "They are one of Brazil's leading direct marketing service providers to the financial services industry and will complement Experian's global expertise in the areas of marketing services, database management and client acquisition analytics."
Gilberto Vasconcelos, country manager of Brazil for Experian, said: "The direct marketing industry has experienced rapid growth in Brazil with a compound annual growth rate of 12.4% from 2000 to 2006 and 18% from 2005 to 2006.
"The combination of Inform@arketing's leadership position in Brazil with Experian's global expertise, international client base and desire to participate in the rapid growth of the South American market will make us a formidable team."
