Clear Channel in outdoor sales revamp
Clear Channel Outdoor UK has restructured its regional sales force to improve its service to agencies and clients at a local level.
It has split the country into nine regions, dedicating a locally based
member of the sales team to each.
Will Ramage, director of trading, said the team's aim was to serve local
markets "as efficiently and effectively as regional press and local

He added: "We're putting the investment in local regions because there's
a lot of money there we're not getting. As an industry, outdoor has been
terrible about doing that and we want to change it. We think it's worth
the investment."
Three heads of department have been appointed to run the new structure,
reporting to Ramage.
John Keane is now group head of agency sales, Jackie Broadhurst is group
head of specialist regional training and Alison Smith is group head of
national specialist sales.
Account managers will be allocated to client sales, regional agencies
and regional poster specialists.
A further team will be created to service the national poster specialist
regional buyers.
The regional team previously worked out of Clear Channel Outdoor's
Manchester office and travelled extensively to cover sales around the
country.
Clear Channel Outdoor UK claims the new restructure reflects its
commitment to investing in the regions and increasing local knowledge
and support for agencies and clients.
