IPC Inspire appoints digital head
LONDON - IPC Inspire, the leisure interest division of IPC, has promoted its advertising and sponsorship manager, Nicola Ponting, to the role of digital sales director.
Ponting joined IPC in 2000 as a senior sales executive at Ignite, before being promoted to the role of advertising and sponsorship manager for Web User and the Inspire digital solutions team.
In her new role, Ponting will report to Inspire's group advertisement director, a position the company is still recruiting for.

She will be tasked with developing online advertising, driving IPC Inspire's consumer digital revenues, and representing the digital advertising division. Ponting will also retain her responsibility for the Web User brand.
Ponting said: "Inspire has some of the most established web brands within IPC and I am confident that there is a great future for IPC's highly targeted sites."
IPC Inspire was formerly IPC's Country & Leisure Media division, but was rebranded in February this year.
It produces magazines, associated websites and events that include Country Life, Decanter, Horse & Hound, Rugby World, SuperBike, Web User, Shoot Monthly and Yachting World.
