by Ed Kemp, Marketing 25-May-07, 14:10

LONDON - Castrol has hired T-Mobile sponsorship chief Toby Hester to leverage its sponsorship of UEFA Euro 2008.

In the newly-created role, Hester will manage Castrol's UEFA partnership, which will include customer experiences at the 2008 tournament in Austria and Switzerland.

Hester had worked at T-Mobile for a decade running its sponsorship programme; he was responsible for the UEFA 2004 and FIFA World Cup 2006 sponsorships as well as the brand's relationship with Robbie Williams.

Hester will report directly to BP Lubricants Europe's head of marketing services, Vijay Solanki.
