Manchester Evening News makes 40 redundancies
LONDON - The Manchester Evening News has announced 40 redundancies across the paper, nine of which are compulsory.
The company claims that the redundancies, one of which is clerical and eight editorial, will help it prepare for a "digital future".
It has reached an agreement with the trade union UNITE on the redundancies and this year's pay deal.
