Vodafone partners PriceRunner.co.uk in mobile launch

LONDON - Vodafone has teamed up with PriceRunner.co.uk, to provide its customers with a hand-held version of the price comparison site.

The PriceRunner application is now free to download via a text shortcode, or from the Vodafone website and Vodafone Live!, the multimedia portal.

Shoppers will be able to search for a specific product on their mobile phone, and the application will automatically compare prices, product specifications and retailers.

Gary Goodman, marketing director at PriceRunner.co.uk, has responsibility for launching the mobile version and is hoping to tap into a new audience, driving more traffic to the site.

Goodman said: "Our mobile application is a natural extension of our website, and will mean consumers can access our price comparison service wherever and whenever they wish, thereby giving them the confidence to know they are getting a good deal when making a purchase."
