Heavy.com creates UK online ad team

Heavy.com, the US-based magazine site aimed at men, has hired a UK advertising team to cash in on the booming online ad market.

Among the appointments are Lucy Russell, who has moved from online
publisher Sift Media, where she was agency sales manager, and James
Males, formerly at cash machine ad specialist ATM:Ad, who both become

advertising directors.

Despite being US-focused, Heavy.com claims 1.5 million unique users a
month in the UK and 4.4 million across Europe, prompting it to make the
UK the first of several planned overseas launches.
