Setanta Sports to be sole distributor of Liverpool FC TV

LONDON - Setanta Sports, the pay-TV sports broadcaster, has signed a three year deal with Liverpool Football Club's television channel to be the exclusive distributor in the UK and Ireland of a new Club channel, Liverpool FC TV.

The channel is due to launch in the autumn and will be added to the Setanta Sports Pack on satellite for no extra charge to subscribers.

The whole pack costs £9.99 a month without an annual contract. LFC TV will be the ninth addition to the set of channels.

Freeview subscribers will be able to access some of the new channel's content on Setanta Sports 1 for the same price and LFC TV will also be available on cable via Virgin Media as part of the same Setanta Sports Pack.

Football fans with an e-season ticket will be able to watch the channel online at http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/.

Earlier this week Setanta Sports confirmed the initial 19 fixtures of its 46 live Barclays Premier League games for the 2007/8 season.
