LONDON - MPG has appointed Andrew Deykin to the newly created role of head of effectiveness.

Deykin was formerly a business director at MindShare and has 10 years' experience in advertising and media. At MPG, he will lead the team that examines the effectiveness of clients' communications activity.

MPG has also recruited Clare Chapman as an account director.

In her last role at MediaVest Manchester, Chapman worked on Yorkshire Bank, BUPA, One North East, Geox and Collection 2000. She also has 10 years' experience in media and will be working on new business MPG has recently won.
The two senior appointments continue a string of hires at MPG, which has this year recruited Grant MacFarlance from Google to head search, Alan Brydon from the Evening Standard as head of press, and Emma Thwaite from Starcom to lead new business and marketing.
Managing partner Mark Craze said the appointments reflected the company's "commitment to investment in senior talent and will make a major contribution to MPG's continued development".
Earlier this month, MPG, which is the media arm of Havas Media, won the £60m global media planning and buying account for Credit Suisse, following a four-way pitch against Aegis-owned Carat, Publicis Groupe's ZenithOptimedia and WPP's Mediaedge:cia.
Other clients include the BBC, Camelot, P&O Ferries, TUI, the Conservative Party and EDF Energy.
