LONDON - Ian Freeman, head of marketing at Broadsystem is leaving the company without a job to go to.

Freeman joined the company, which provides marketing services such as call centres and database support, in 2004 from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, where he was an account director.

Caroline Worboys, chief executive at Broadsystem, said, "At the moment, we're not looking for anyone to replace Ian. We're going to be focusing our own marketing activity below the line, rather than on brand-building."

Broadsystem was founded in 1986, specialising in promotional telephone call handling. In 1990, the company was acquired by News International, publishers of the Times and Sun newspapers.
