He has been promoted from his current role as publisher at IPC's motoring group, which covers titles such as Land Rover World and MiniWorld. Before that, he was at local newspaper firm Kent Messenger Group, where he worked on launch projects including KM Free Ads and the Gravesend Messenger.
De Carle said: "The decision to centralise our ad teams gives us the chance to really focus on and develop the revenue opportunities we have in our print and online brands. At the same time, we can create a new and exciting sales culture within our business."
De Carle's responsibilities as publisher will be taken over by Richard Marcroft, currently publisher of Hi-Fi News and Guitar & Bass.
