LONDON - IPC Inspire, the leisure interest division of IPC Media, has created a website for the British shooting community to accompany its shooting titles, including The Field and The Shooting Gazette.

Shootinguk.co.uk will provide the latest shooting news, information on gun dog events and results, advice on the health and training of various breeds, gun tests and Q&As with acknowledged experts in country and shooting, as well as user forums and a marketplace to buy, sell and swap.

IPC aims to get the shooting community online and involved by giving users the opportunity to comment on articles and blogs, take part in daily polls and register on forums.

The site also contains an extensive database of expert gun reviews, with more than 1,000 guns reviewed, as well as listings of dates and details of events such as country fairs, horse trials, game fairs and eventing shows for the coming year.

Hamish Dawson, publishing director of the IPC Inspire shooting brands, said: "We see the development of this comprehensive online dimension to our service to the shooting community as extremely important to the future of country sports media in the UK."

The website launch will be supported by online search and email campaigns.

IPC's shooting titles include The Field, The Shooting Gazette, Sporting Gun and Shooting Times.
