Cranmer resigns WPP research role
Mark Cranmer, the former Starcom European chief, who quit to run Research International, is to leave his post at the end of the year.
Cranmer has signalled his intention to step down from the role of
worldwide chief executive of the WPP-owned research company and is
serving out his notice. It is understood he has no plans for his next
ADVERTISEMENT
International.
He joined the company in March 2006 and manages 2,500 employees in 50
countries. He has restructured the business and introduced new
operational practices.
Cranmer has spent more than two decades as a leading media industry
figure, and is one of its best-regarded thinkers. His name has been
linked to the vacant commercial role at ITV, but this is not thought to
be part of his plans.
Cranmer was unavailable for comment.
