Associated Northcliffe Digital acquires JobsGroup.net

LONDON - Associated Northcliffe Digital, a division of the Daily Mail and General Trust plc, has acquired JobsGroup.net Limited for around £10m.

It will form part of AND's recruitment division and come under the guidance of Jobsite, the leader of AND's growing recruitment portfolio.

The website is the seventh company to be brought into AND's recruitment sector and the sale was advised by PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

JobsGroup.net was launched in 2000 and operates 10 award winning niche recruitment websites including JustEngineers.net and JustRail.net. It has more than 380,000 unique users and 200,000 registered jobseekers across its sites. The agreement allows JobsGroup.net to keep its name and the same management team.

Prior to this purchase, AND and Jobsite acquired six other niche sites including TopConsultant.com and InRetail.co.uk in their increased effort to offer a specialist job service as well as a more general offering.
