LONDON - Direct MediaCom has scooped the estimated £11m direct marketing account for sound systems manufacturer Bose after a five-way pitch.

Bose invited Direct MediaCom, Brilliant Media, MediaVest Manchester, Carat and incumbent Tri-Direct to pitch for the business in July as part of a UK-wide review that kicked off in May.
Direct MediaCom, the UK's largest direct media company and part of WPP's MediaCom, will handle both offline and online direct media.

In the 12 months to the end of April this year, Bose spent a total of £11,119,105 on advertising, of which the bulk - £6,082,397 - was spent on press.

It spent £3,916,444 on direct mail, compared with £662,209 for outdoor advertising and £215,140 on cinema, according to figures from Nielsen Media Research.
Bose, a subsidiary of the Bose Corporation, produces high end home cinema, music and loudspeaker systems.
