Barratt appoints CHI to £12m account
Barratt Developments has appointed CHI & Partners to handle its £12 million advertising account.
The appointment was made without a pitch and comes two weeks after
MediaVest and MediaVest Manchester won the housing developer's media
planning and buying business following a shoot-out against MediaCom.

It reunites CHI with Mark Clare, the former managing director of British
Gas' residential energy business, who joined Barratt Developments in
September 2006 as its group chief executive.
CHI has been briefed to rebrand Barratt Homes and relaunch the brand
with a TV campaign later in the year.
In February, Barratt Developments purchased the rival developer Wilson
Bowden in a cash and shares deal worth £2.2 billion. The deal
created the joint-largest listed house building company by market value
with Persimmon.
The group encompasses four brands: Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes,
Ward Homes and Wilson Bowden Developments.
In July, Barratt Homes revealed it had signed contracts for forward
sales worth £1.01 billion, a 20 per cent increase on the same
period the previous year. The average Barratt house price rose 2.3 per
cent to £169,700 over the period.
