Yahoo! venture is aimed at students
Yahoo! is working on a new social media venture, having failed to buy a mainstream social network.
College students and companies looking to recruit are the main target
audience for the new project, which has been dubbed Yahoo! Kickstart. It
will aim to connect job-seeking students and companies for potential

employment opportunities.
Yahoo! declined to release further details, but the project will aim to
rival Facebook in chasing the college audience. Yahoo! last year made an
offer for Facebook, which was rejected. Yahoo! has several social media
properties including Del.icio.us, Flickr, GeoCities and Yahoo! 360.
