MySpaceTV unveils new drama series
LONDON - MySpace is set to premiere an online series called 'Quarterlife', from Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick, the producers of 'The Last Samurai' and 'Blood Diamond'.
The series, which will make its debut on MySpaceTV on November 11, focuses on six friends in their twenties, including protagonist Dylan, a young woman who keeps an excessively honest video blog.

Herskovitz and Zwick created the series, and fully own and control it, with long term associate Josh Gummersall as series producer.
Herskovitz said: "This is the most exciting project I've worked on in a very long time, and part of that is the level of creative autonomy we can have on the Internet. For better or worse, 'Quarterlife' is truly our own vision."
MySpaceTV will premiere 36 original episodes of the show. A 'Quarterlife' video channel and profile page on MySpace, and a stand alone website will feature character profiles, behind-the-scenes video footage, and storyline secrets. Viewers are invited to contribute to the show by video and written submissions.
Zwick said: "The business of television today makes it harder for the individual filmmaker's voice to be heard.
"That voice has been our calling card for over twenty years, and working with MySpace gives us a chance to speak it."
Zwick and Herskovitz own the production company Bedford Falls, and have also worked together to create the US drama series 'My So-called Life' and 'Thirtysomething'.

myspace will always have the creative edge and music angle for me. i went to a festival this summer and saw an awesome band. googled them and they had a myspace and as a result i could hear the songs, see events and also other similair bands on the label and now my ears are richer for the whole experience.
