Fraser said the magazine was also looking to recruit two account
managers to complete the sales team, as well as a production
manager.
ShortList's commercial team is responsible for targeting advertisers
eager to reach the elusive ABC1 male demographic. Chief executive Mike
Soutar said the intention was to make ShortList break even in year
three.
The editorial team is headed by former Nuts editor Phil Hilton and
deputy editor Ross Brown. Prev-iously, Brown was editor of men's monthly
FHM, but left the Emap title this February. He is joined by ex-FHM
features editor Will Cockrell.
ShortList launches this Thursday with 48 pages of editorial. Its debut
coincides with the launch of www.shortlist.com, which will carry a
Ceros-enabled digital version of the print magazine.
Fraser said the first issue of ShortList would carry nearly 10 pages of
advertising, exceeding its launch target. Advertisers lined up for the
first four weeks of publication include Philips, Renault and O2.
