Ann Summers marketer in exit
Ann Summers head of marketing Gordon Lee has been poached by Wonderbra manufacturer DB Apparel.
Lee joins the underwear company next week as marketing director, where
he will oversee the Wonderbra, Playtex and Shockabsorber brands.
In this role, Lee will be tasked with driving brand awareness and

the launch of several products. He will also oversee the company's
digital strategy.
Lee joined Ann Summers in 2004 and was responsible for introducing the
retailer's bigger-store concept in 2005. He also oversaw the brand's
growth online.
Ann Summers has faced criticism in the past for its controversial
advertising. Last month, an ad promoting its Rampant Rabbit Wave
vibrator was banned by Transport for London from the Tube network
despite being passed by the Advertising Standards Authority.
