LONDON: The agency will overhaul the design of travelodge.co.uk and develop functionality, content and services to attract new customers.

"Currently 85 per cent of room bookings are conducted online, we would like to increase this to at least 95 per cent and offer customers a one-stop online service where they can order everything they need for their Travelodge stay," said Daniel Heale, Travelodge marketing and sales director.

"Throughout the pitching process twentysix London demonstrated strategic understanding and genuine passion for our business and delivered some truly innovative ideas for helping us to attract new customers "

Travelodge - barely out of the news of late with its penchant for giving the media quirky stories for its more light-hearted pages - currently drives over five million reservations through its website each year and attract s over half a million users every week.

It has over one million registered members and has launched an online travel insurance service. In the lead up to Christmas, the hotel chain is set to open ten more hotels across the UK.

"We are delighted that Travelodge has entrusted this major undertaking to us and charged us as the guardians of their enormously important customer gateway," said Ian Anderson, twentysix business development and corporate director.
