Fury over murderer Huntley's page on Facebook
LONDON - Facebook is under the spotlight again after it was revealed that child killer Ian Huntley has his own page on the social networking site, which has also spawned a group calling for his removal.
He is signed up under his mother's maiden name Nixon, shielding his true identity to users.

Huntley's page lists details about his interests including football, aviation, playing Xbox and socialising. It also says he is "looking for friendship".
His admirer apparently began writing to him at WWakefield Prison, where he is serving a life sentence, more than a year ago. She told him about Facebook, which he is unable to access directly because inmates at the jail are banned from using the internet.
Huntley is reported to have sidestepped the ban by telling the woman what to write on his webpage through letters. She subsequently notifies him about any responses on the site in her letters back to him, according to a source at the prison.
The news has outraged other Facebook users who have set up a group appealing to Facebook administration to remove Huntley from its site.
Get Huntley Off Facebook has 439 members and more than 100 wall posts from disgruntled users voicing their strong desire to have Huntley removed.
Edward Garnier, shadow minister for justice, led calls last night for Huntley's page to be shut down.
He said: "This will disgust people. Facebook's owners should act now."
Facebook could not be reached for comment.

I see that the facebook 'cheif' (sic) for the anti-huntley group is also pushing an online petition to bring back hanging and torture for severe crimes - Anne-Fay

such criminals should accept that they forego privileges and most contact when they choose to live outside normal civilised morals. inmates cost the taxpayer so much because they live with more resources available to them than most citizens - and they believe it is their right!! bring back bread & water......

Why do women admire these people?

Agreed the penal system is far toom lenient, I agree that a certain amount of rehabiitation is necessary but I think that lengths that are gone to are excessive. I think many activists that campaign for better treatment of prisoners have liitle or no apprecaition for the damage done by the bad majority of these people and are acting so for the sake of feeling progressive.

people like him should get castrated and left to rot. When you do what he has done i think any rights go out of the window and bread and water should be a bonus. death penalty, an eye for an eye, whats the point in keeping this shit alive? he tried to kill himself, let him or help him.
