Digital: Castrol supports Euro 2008 tie-up

Marketing 26-Sep-07

Castrol is stepping up its digital marketing activity to back its headline sponsorship of Euro 2008.

The motor-oil company is seeking a digital shop to develop online
advertising to promote a branded website where fans can compare the
performance of the teams competing in the football championships.

Castrol plans to hire a small ad agency to work alongside OgilvyOne,

which it appointed in February on a full-service basis, with a brief for
its web development, online advertising and a range of mobile activity
(Marketing, 2 February).

The motor-oil company is developing an interactive environment for Euro
2008 that will allow users to upload their own content and write blogs.
