The Jobs Mine, which is currently being showcased to recruitment agencies and their clients before its public launch in January next year, will target both active and passive job seekers.
MEN Media will be holding presentations, recruitment competitions and agency round-table discussions, as well as giving out branded merchandise and conducting PR stunts, to generate the maximum number of jobs for The Jobs Mine before its public launch.
Mark Rix, managing director at MEN Media, said: "We recognise that the traditional way that people searched for jobs, by looking in their local newspaper once a week, has changed.
"Just as people are now receiving news when and where they want it, they also want to have access to jobs vacancies on an ongoing basis. With The Jobs Mine, we are responding to the needs of jobseekers, employers and recruitment agencies by offering recruitment solutions that meet their requirements in the 21st century."
The public launch in January will be supported by an above-the-line marketing campaign. The company hopes to make the The Jobs Mine the definitive source of jobs in the Greater Manchester area.
