Emap's strategic planning director has jumped ship to take up a new post at Associated Newspapers.

Steve Payne will take up the newly created post as head of integrated
solutions in Associated's marketing services division.

He will work across all of the Associated and Northcliffe brands

including the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, Evening Standard, London

At Emap, Payne was credited with increasing advertising revenues and
strengthening the firm's various brands. In his new role, Payne's task
is to help the group maximise profits by using Associated and
Northcliffe's portfolio of brands to deliver more targeted advertising
solutions for clients and agencies.

Managing director Guy Zitter said: "We can deliver to 60% of the UK
adult population across our Associated and Northcliffe print, TV, online
and mobile platforms. This enables us to produce creative solutions
across the board for key clients chasing a variety of audiences."

Payne said: "With a growing portfolio of brands and platforms,
Associated and Northcliffe are in a great position to meet customer
demands for multi-platform activity."
