Quiet Storm launches campaign to combat sex trafficking

LONDON - Human rights charity The Helen Bamber Foundation, which is chaired by the actress Emma Thompson, has appointed Quiet Storm to launch a viral and cinema advertising campaign to highlight the plight of sex slaves working in the UK.

The campaign, which was created by Quiet Storm and launches this week, is called "Lost in f**king translation" and focuses on the growth in foreign sex workers who are illegally trafficked into the UK.

The creative features Thompson and shows how foreign sex workers are unable to integrate with the rest of UK society. It shows a woman attempting to lead a normal life, hampered by only being able to use offensive words and degrading language picked up as a sex slave.

Neal Coyler, the Quiet Storm creative who wrote the campaign, said: "This campaign is to generate awareness about sex trafficking in the UK and the horrendous exploitation of these women. We have to do something about this now to stop this terrible trade."

The Helen Bamber Foundation supports survivors of human rights abuses, including victims of torture and terrorism.

The creative was directed by Kevin Chicken and produced by Kate Pirouet through Quiet Storm Films.

that's a bit harsh mate - i can't imagine anyone would choose that kind of life unless they were really desperate. and i'm sure some women do get tricked - have you seen the film Lilia Forever by Lucas Moodysson - it is possible.

This is exactly why a campaign such as this is needed - to overcome this level of ignorance.

That is such a sweeping statement "Robbie" and clearly not true. Women are tricked and scum bags are being caught and sent to prison for their crimes. Some of them are kidnapped. It's true!!! Oh wait. No exclamation marks needed.

Robbie, the sex trafficking trade is very real and it's happening as we speak above shops in central London. Many of the girls involved are under the age of 16 and are in no position to make a judgement on their safety. They're targeted specifically because they're vulnerable.

Thank god Robbie, someone who shares my views! Its all lies, just like the Holocaust, eh! And Aids, what a load of rubbish. Paedophilia too, all media lies! World War 2, guess what...never happened! Remember John Lennon? No, because he didnt exist. Bruce Lee works for the chinese government and Elvis lives doesnt he Robbie.

The bit about Elvis is definitely true. He is still in the building. Robbie must be a man in a high castle.

I think Robbie is a sex trafficker doing a Comical Ali. 'There are no American troops in Baghdad! Americans are committing suicide by the hundreds at the city's gates!' Look over your shoulder Robbie, what a disgusting accusation.
