PriceRunner strikes energy deal

LONDON - PriceRunner.co.uk, the comparison website, and the Energy Saving Trust, have teamed up to create a website that will offer energy-saving product recommendation and price comparisons.

It is claimed the search engine, which is at www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/compare, is the first of its kind in the UK.

From Friday (23 November), PriceRunner.co.uk will provide pricing data content for the Energy Saving Trust in a bid to cut down on the costs of energy to the consumer.

Meanwhile, PriceRunner will attach an ESR (Energy Saving Recommended) logo to all recommended products on its site.

The site will launch with a handful of comparable categories, such as dishwashers, freezers and televisions, with more products to be added to the search facility next year.
