David Beckham to star in Radio 2 Christmas special

LONDON - David Beckham is to co-present a one-off programme on BBC Radio 2 this Christmas with former 'X-Factor' presenter Kate Thornton.

Beckham will jet back to the UK from his new home in Los Angeles next month to pre-record the interactive Christmas Day show from 3pm to 5pm.

Thornton will field listener questions for the LA Galaxy midfielder in "David Beckham's Line Of Enquiry" which aims to give an insight into one of the world's biggest sporting icons.

Thornton said: "David signing up to do this is a real coup...I'm merely the ref. We're delighted David has agreed to open himself up and take listeners' questions, so if they have something they want to ask him they can get in touch and get involved."

Listeners are invited from today to submit questions via email, phone or post.
