Sources not so reliable on News Corp./LinkedIn takeover talks
Reuters reports that, according to a "source familiar with the matter," News Corp. is not holding takeover talks with LinkedIn, contrary to last week's floating rumors by an "‘unconfirmed rumour' via a ‘well-placed' and ‘reliable' source."
News Corp. and LinkedIn declined to comment. According to the news wire, analysts say the takeover would make sense strategically, but News Corp's Fox Interactive Media Internet division may already be moving to serve that function, its executive said.

Today, however, Forbes is still reporting on the rumor. 'And Rupert Murdoch's News Corp is ready to take on the Facebook empire. According to reports, News Corp is in talks with LinkedIn to purchase the professional social network for at least $1 billion.'
