Direct: WaterAid set for DRTV campaign

Marketing 05-Dec-07

WaterAid is launching a DRTV campaign to raise funds to provide water for children in developing countries.

The drive, created by Watson Phillips Norman, shows images of children
and adults living with poor-quality drinking water and sanitation. A
voiceover, provided by Auf Wiedersehen Pet and Inspector Morse actor

Kevin Whately, asks viewers to give £2 a month.

Mike Wade, head of central fundraising at WaterAid, said: 'We hope our
latest campaign will alert more people to the fact that safe water and
sanitation are basic human rights, which everyone in the world should
have access to.'

The charity works in 17 countries to provide access to safe water and
sanitation, as well as education about living hygienically.

The ad will run across digital terrestrial and satellite channels.
