Jetix green-lights new animation
LONDON - Jetix Europe is stepping up its drive to commission more of its own programming by sealing a deal for an animated comedy with Canada's Breakthrough Animation.
The Disney-backed kids' TV broadcaster is co-producing the first season of Jimmy Two Shoes in collaboration with the producer and Canadian kids’ broadcaster, Teletoon.
The series of 26 30-minute shows is scheduled to air across Jetix Europe channels from early 2009.

Jetix Europe has also picked up the rights to sell the show on to third-party broadcasters in Europe and the Middle East.
Disney ABC International TV will handle third-party sales for Jetix Europe.
