Huntington to head strategy at Saatchis

by Noel Bussey, Campaign 07-Dec-07

Saatchi & Saatchi has hired Richard Huntington, the former United planning director, as its director of strategy.

He will take responsibility for the agency's planning department,
including staff from the agency's off-shoots such as Industry@Saatchi
and Saatchi Interactive, which are being disbanded and embedded into the

main agency. Team Saatchi will continue to operate independently.

Huntington will work alongside Kate Stanners and Paul Silburn, the
creative partners, and the yet-to-be-appointed managing director. As a
result, Chris Chalke, the chief strategy officer, will now become the
director of strategy for EMEA and UK chairman.

Robert Senior, the UK chief executive of the SSF Group, said: "With
Richard, we've just hired one of the best forward-thinking planners in
the business."

Since United's closure earlier in the year, Huntington has been
freelance. He was at the agency for ten years.
