Ipoints bolsters management in UK expansion

LONDON - Online loyalty business Ipoints.co.uk has hired two senior management staff in the form of Adam Maher and Megan Stevenson, as part of the expansion of its UK presence.

Ipoints has recruited Maher, formerly head of commercial development at employment benefit organisation You at Work, as director of loyalty, and Stevenson, previously an online marketing manager at US.com, for the newly created position of online partnership and acquisition manager.

The company said the two hirings, which bring Ipoints' UK staff to 24, would aid its growth in the online loyalty market, having promoted Robert Barker from commercial director to UK chief operating officer to replace the outgoing Geraldine Tosh in November.

Ipoints has also promoted Sophie Flacks from database marketing manager to marketing manager, where she will devise online communications plans across behavioural data accounts.

Maher will be responsible for the ongoing development and expansion of Ipoints' business-to-business loyalty programmes and incentive marketing schemes.

Meanwhile, Stevenson, who was previously based in Canada, will develop marketing activities across 25 of Ipoints' clients and will be expected to encourage new business through the company's advertising and email marketing programmes.

The business acquired its French counterpart, Maximiles, in June 2006 for an undisclosed sum, helping it create Europe's largest loyalty programme company.

Robert Barker, chief operating officer at Ipoints, said: "We've seen major growth within the business and this has led us to recruit top calibre staff at all levels."
