TNS in Irish acquisition

Research outfit TNS has boosted its market share with the acquisition of an Irish media monitoring firm.

TNS has bought Dublin-based MediaMarket, whose client base for its media analysis services includes Irish PR agencies and blue chip firms Vodafone, Bank of Ireland and BT. It offers the 'only fully digital news monitoring service in the growing Irish market'.

The addition of MediaMarket means TNS’ Media Intelligence Europe arm offers news monitoring in Ireland as well as France, Germany, Russia, Spain and the UK. The markets research company currently operates in 70 countries worldwide, offering consumer panels and TV audience measurement among other services.

TNS retains B2B agency Camargue for its UK media relations.
