Domino's hires Big Communications

Campaign 18-Jan-08

Domino's Pizza has appointed Big Communications to its £3 million advertising account, following a pitch against undisclosed agencies.

The agency will create a new TV campaign that is due to break on
satellite and terrestrial television later this year.

Team Saatchi, the incumbent, did not repitch for the business. The

agency was appointed on a project basis in 2000 and has since produced a

number of campaigns for the company, which has historically spent the
majority of its advertising budget on TV, including its sponsorship of
The Simpsons on Sky One.

Team Saatchi's latest TV ad, which aired at the start of this year,
promoted Domino's three pizzas for £5.55 deal. It also created a
campaign that ran in September for Domino's Ciabatta, which featured a
genie appearing from a teapot and granting two people three
pizza-related wishes.

Last year, Domino's moved its $170 million US account out of JWT,
ending a five-year relationship. In September, it hired Miami's Crispin
Porter & Bogusky, despite the fact that the agency also handles Burger
King.
