3 makes Facebook debut with Skypephone promotion
LONDON - 3UK has made its first foray onto Facebook with a branded group inviting users of the social network to share details of their most expensive mobile phone call.
The network operator is running a competition to reward the person with the highest call cost with £500 to pay it off, while three runners-up will each receive a pair of 3 Skypephones.
The group encourages Facebook users to 'become a fan of 3' before posting their story for a chance to win.

Yikes. So 3 are encouraging younguns to run up huge mobile bills. I know it's nothing new for mobile comapnies to 'encourage' their punters to use there phones a lot, but to do so so blatantly, and so obviouskly targeted at a young age group like this really is clunky and heavy-handed. And not to say a tad immoral. £500 for one person? Woo. Come on 3. You've made me ashamed to have just signed up with you. Come back Orange, all is forgiven.
