AMV promotes Angear and Mawdsley to lead planning
Bridget Angear and Craig Mawdsley, the deputy planning directors at Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, have been promoted to joint heads of planning.
The pair replace George Bryant, who quit the agency in December to
launch a start-up with Jason Fretwell, a senior AMV creative, and Jackie
Stevenson, the former managing director at Craik Jones Watson Mitchell

In their new roles, Mawd-sley and Angear will run the AMV planning
department as well as working on pitches and existing business.
Angear joined AMV in 2001 from JWT and has since principally worked on
the Walkers account. Mawdsley joined in 2004 from Saatchi & Saatchi and
worked on the successful retention of Sainsbury's and the creation of
the "try something new today" strategy. He also headed planning on Royal
Mail and Dulux.
Farah Ramzan Golant, the AMV chief executive, said: "When you have such
titans in the planning arsenal, it makes the job of activating
succession management a clear and simple one."
At the same time, the agency has also promoted James Miller to the role
of head of international planning, with responsibility for all of its
international accounts.
He joined AMV in 2001 and worked as a planner on Guinness before taking
over planning duties on FedEx across Europe, Latin America and Asia.
He has also worked on Gillette and Johnson & Johnson.
