LONDON - RMG Connect has hired Tony O'Toole as its new executive planning director and poached Gary Fraser from Claydon Heeley as a creative business partner.

O'Toole, who was working as a freelance planner, has more than 15 years' experience in below-the-line work and has previously worked at agencies including FCBi.

He will lead strategic development across RMG Connect's client base, which includes Sky, Shell, AOL and Rimmel, and manage an integrated planning team across digital and direct brand work.

Fraser joins from below the line agency Claydon Heeley, where he was a creative head, and will primarily be focused on developing campaigns for HSBC. He has previous account experience from working with Goodyear/Dunlop, the Guardian and ING Direct.

Tim Hipperson, chief executive officer at RMG Connect, said: "Tony brings with him a huge amount of experience and knowledge of RMG Connect clients that will see him fit seamlessly into his role, and Gary combines two attributes that make him a rare creative commodity in the industry today -- a craftsman's hand with a commercial mind."
