LONDON - AOL UK has signed a deal with The Spectator and sister title, The Business, to sell their online advertising.

The campaigns for TheBusiness.co.uk and Spectator.co.uk will be served using AOL's AdTech platform and will cover all advertising space, including the sale of banners, skyscrapers, leaderboards and MPUs.

Mark Hopkins, group digital director at Press Holdings Media Group, said: "AOL has a proven track record of selling to premium audiences whether they're sophisticated, hard-to-reach or both.

"Each of our business titles has a highly sophisticated and loyal business audience, plus a growing online readership.

"As we continue to increase the original content that we offer on the magazines' online homes and, thus, drive up user traffic, our collaboration with AOL will offer advertisers greater opportunity to reach this affluent market with tailored, integrated advertising campaigns on- and off-line."

Michael Steckler, managing director at AOL UK, said: "These latest partnerships with the Business and Spectator offer a compelling proposition for brands wishing to target the business audience, while adding value and additional reach to our own online properties.

"Importantly, the deals are another step towards our goal to grow the company’s advertising business in the UK and across Europe."

The two titles, which are part of the Telegraph Media Group, join the likes of teenage community, Habbo Hotel, which was the first partner to turn to AOL to represent its brand online when the new service launched in the UK in August 2007.
