The sale of Clarion Events has moved a step closer with a second round of bids valuing the exhibitions business at around £120m.

As private equity owner Hg Capital reviewed the latest auction round,
Clarion managing director Simon Kimble completed the acquisition of The
NEC Group's stake in Clarion Events NEC for an undisclosed sum.

Shows brought back into the fold include the Antiques for Everyone

fairs, the National Fine Art and Antiques Fair, Sounds Expo and the
Classic Motor Show.

The sale process is expected to be completed this month.
