Titan brings in Cox from CBS Outdoor

Outdoor contractor Titan has poached CBS Outdoor’s Steve Cox to become its new marketing director.

Cox, who was strategic planning director at CBS, replaces David Etherington who was promoted to worldwide marketing director and senior vice-president last month.

CBS has no plans to replace Cox, but has promoted Michael Porter to head the strategic planning department.

"I hope this appointment says to people that Titan is not just here to stay but is here to succeed," said Etherington. "Steve has a very good reputation in the industry and it's great to have a big hitter like him in the UK."

Cox, who was with CBS for more than seven years, is the first poach from CBS for Titan, which has been solidifying its staff base recently, since recovering from its purchase of Maiden Outdoor in 2006.
